The origin of man is controversial.
Aristotle said that some people are naturally slaves and others naturally masters. In his words: For that some should rule and others be ruled is a thing not only necessary, but expedient.
Charles Darwin together with Alfred Russell argued that the branching pattern of evolution resulted from a natural selection process. Darwin also said that man evolved from apes; with some race more closely linked to primates than others.
More recently, State-sponsored policies of Segregation and Apartheid were dismantled in the United States of America in the 1960’s and South Africa in 1994 respectively. Both Segregation and Apartheid denied portions of society equal political, social and economic rights on the basis of inaccurate theories.
Human classification on the grounds of race, religion, geography, biology and classism tends to divide us than unite us. It not only robs us of our common origin and infringes upon our inalienable human right to life, dignity and the pursuit of happiness.
